On Sept. 28, Ft. Pierce Magnet School of the Arts loaded up five buses and headed to the Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Grades 1-8 were chosen by Larry Lee and the Light House Foundation to watch the Marlins play their last game in the stadium, and to meet Ft. Pierce's Charles Johnson. It was fantastic watching eyes and listening to the conversations inside the bus. Much of the conversation stopped when they drove up to the stadium. All eyes were wide, and mouths opened. As they exited the bus, the students went to the park for lunch, and met with Charles Johnson, who spoke to the students, parents, staff and teachers. Many of the students got signed pictures. On behalf of the staff, parents, students of Fort Pierce Magnet School of the Arts, thank you LightHouse Foundation for a memorable trip had by all!
